Key Highlights of the Reren Lamen N Bar Experience
For visitors and local residents exploring the Georgetown area, Reren Lamen N Bar offers several distinct advantages that contribute to its growing reputation:
Commitment to Broth Depth: The cornerstone of Reren’s offering is the time and care invested in developing their signature broths. These liquids are simmered for extended periods, extracting maximum flavor and complexity, resulting in a rich, layered taste profile that distinguishes their ramen from competitors. This dedication to the foundational element is immediately apparent upon the first spoonful.
Authentic Noodle Preparation: Recognizing that texture is as crucial as flavor, the restaurant emphasizes the quality and preparation of its noodles. Whether striving for a firm bite or a softer texture, the noodles are consistently prepared to complement the specific characteristics of the broth they accompany, ensuring a harmonious balance in every bowl.
Strategic Georgetown Location: Situated at 1073 Wisconsin Ave NW, the restaurant benefits from its placement within one of D.C.’s most desirable dining and shopping districts. This accessibility makes it an ideal stop after exploring local attractions or during a busy day of activity, offering a warm, satisfying respite.
Inviting Second-Floor Atmosphere: Being located on the second floor provides a unique dining perspective. Their commitment to excellence ensures that every visit reinforces why authentic ramen, crafted with passion and precision, remains one of the world’s most cherished comfort foods. Stop by their location to experience the dedication woven into every strand of noodle and every drop of broth.
Reren Lamen deserves a shoutout here. Now Reren doesn't offer ramen, it does provide surprisingly flavorful lamen, or Chinese hand pulled noodles. This is the nook and a sanctuary that I'd least expect in super-expensive Georgetown.
First the noodles dishes provide a high quality value meal that I honestly cannot find anywhere else in town. Perhaps the most surprising is the Xiaolongbao (小籠包), soup dumplings. The soup in the dumpling sports an bright yellow hue with low collagen taste. Usually I find dishes with gelatin hold on to more flavor but the very soup low-gelatin composition of the soup dumpling was pretty good.
Paired with your meal is the very comfortable, colorful, open concept eating space accented with simple asian decorative tones. In fact, the space is far more open and comfortable than it seems looking from the outside. Highly recommend getting a seat near the window as the view is a bonus that comes with the meal. It is just a nice nook to escape the noisy Georgetown streeets and grab a tasty bite of food at the same time.

Reren Lamen & Bar in Georgetown is an absolute gem! The renovation they did looks fancy—the ambiance is artistic , inviting, and has a great vibe that makes dining here even more enjoyable.
The food is top-notch! Their soup dumplings are perfection—delicate, flavorful, and bursting with delicious broth. The street-style fried calamari is crispy and well-seasoned, making it a must-order. I also loved the grandma-style beef pancakes, which were packed with rich flavors and had the perfect texture. The jumbo shrimp and pork suimai were fresh, juicy, and simply amazing.
Everything I tried was well-executed, and the service was friendly and efficient. If you’re looking for a great spot in Georgetown for high-quality food with cheaper price and a fantastic atmosphere, Reren Lamen & Bar is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I tend to go here multiple times out of the week afterwork to enjoy a unique and tasty cocktail or a savory meal. Everyone that has served me has been incredibly kind and always greeted with a smile! Food was very tasty of course, highly recommended the Sake Fried Chicken, or the spicy wontons for an appetizer. For cocktails I highly recommended the Boba Passion or the Lychee Martini! If you’re in Georgetown, this is the best place to be!

I recently visited this restaurant with my husband and was excited to try their upgraded menu, which now includes Chinese noodles and soup dumplings. We ordered the black truffle dish, which was incredibly tasty and a rare find in DC. What impressed us was that the dumplings were handmade, not machine-made, with a thin wrap that still managed to retain the tenderness of the filling.
We also tried the popcorn chicken, which smelled amazing and lived up to its aroma. The chicken was hot, juicy, and came in a generous portion. Additionally, we ordered the Kongfu beef noodle and Hong-Kong duck noodle. The Hong-Kong duck noodle was a standout, with the roast duck and soup expertly prepared. It's a classic Chinese dish that they executed very well.
However, I was disappointed with the Kongfu beef noodle. The addition of sprouts gave it a Japanese ramen flavor profile, which didn't quite fit with the traditional Chinese noodle dish I was expecting. Furthermore, the soup was not hot enough, which took away from the overall experience.
Overall, I'm glad to see this restaurant expanding its menu to include more Chinese options, and I appreciate the attention to detail in their handmade dumplings. With a bit of improvement on their noodle dishes, particularly the Kongfu beef noodle, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine in DC.

A Culinary Gem! Absolutely Phenomenal!
Every single item I ordered here was phenomenal. The roasted duck with rice was incredible – truly "OMG, so good!" – and very reasonably priced. The dumplings were delicious, and the ramen noodles (I can't remember the name, but they were fantastic!) were outstanding too.
I even discovered "Snow" beer; I'm not usually a beer drinker, but this was so smooth and refreshing! Service was excellent and remarkably quick. This place is a must-try for an exceptional dining experience. I'll definitely be back! Also I'm American but I've been to china and both I and my girlfriend from China said she loved it.

It's a different kind of restaurant in Gtown. Cute little restaurant on a 2nd floor, 1st floor is a bubble tea place. Party of 5, greeted by friendly staff, they were very attentive during our dinner, refilling water, taking away finished plates, and ordering was very easy.
Fresh ingredients and delicious food. Highly recommend the salt & pepper chicken, very juicy and tender. Can't go wrong with the soup dumpling, steamed to perfection; Shrimp hargow is way bigger than normal dim sum places.
Let's talk about price: priced at a very reasonable price point, given the prime location and cost of rent, their pricing is way better than a lot of restaurants.
Overall, will definitely go again. 😋

Very nice ramen restaurant in Georgetown, menu offered a variety of ramen options, I opted for the duck ramen, which is pretty rare to find in other places. The broth was rich, packed with umami, while noodles were cooked just the right balance of firm and chewy. Toppings are delicious and the amount is large too. Will definitely go back again!

This place is hands-down one of the best finds in Georgetown. Not only do they offer some of the best prices in the area, but the food is also incredibly authentic and delicious.
The soup dumplings are a standout — delicate thin skin, bursting with flavorful broth. The noodle soups are always my go-to comfort food.
Honestly, even when I come to Georgetown alone, I make a special stop here just for their beef noodle soup — it’s that good!
If you’re craving real Chinese flavors without the Georgetown price tag, this spot is a must-try.
